History of Bay Fest

Join us on Anna Maria Island for the 23rd Annual Bay Fest! An all-day street festival with live music, delicious local food vendors, arts and craft vendors, a car show, and so much more. The AMI Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this year’s Bay Fest and can’t wait for you, your family, and your friends to explore Pine Avenue on Anna Maria Island. Celebrating music, food, arts, and cars—there’s something for everyone at Bay Fest, which is the largest annual event on Anna Maria Island and has been the cornerstone of the local community for decades! Bay Fest draws hundreds of guests who are all there to listen to live music, sample tasty food, and peruse the unique products on offer from local crafters. It’s got kid-friendly activities too. The event lines the entirety of Pine Avenue in Anna Maria City, so expect to find local businesses and creators out there vending their goods for the general public. This is a major event, so many of the locals will be there in addition to vacationers on the island.

What to Expect

From 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on October 19th, 2024, the festival will immerse you in a world where the community spirit of Anna Maria Island shines through every element.

Live Music Lineup

Music is a huge part of Bay Fest, and this year’s lineup has some great acts. The live music runs all day, kicking off at 10:00 AM and wrapping up at 9:00 PM. Mike Sales, a local favorite, will be the emcee, keeping the energy up between sets. The lineup includes:

• The Trevor Bystrom Band from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM
• Lisa & The Island Hoppers from 1:45 PM to 4:00 PM
• The Karen & Jimmy Band from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
• Dr. Dave Band from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Classic Car Show

By far the biggest highlight and draw for this event is the antique car show, running from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It’s quite the spectacle, featuring more than 100 hot rods and muscle cars. The owners of these cars will be on hand to tell you all about their awesome wheels and let you see these vehicles up close. For enthusiasts of Florida car shows, this is an fun opportunity to admire some beautiful machines.

Local Food & Products

Some of the food vendors will include Gran Arepa, Anna Maria Island Privateers, The Waterfront, and Coastal Crab. Kona Ice will be there with their shaved ice, and Tropi-Coco will have some of their most delicious coconut-based products to quench your thirst. Kettle corn, ice cream, and alcoholic beverages for the adults will also be available to purchase. Of course, there will be dozens of local crafters, artists, and other vendors there selling their one-of-a-kind goods. They will be there from start to finish, so you will have plenty of time to stop by each of the booths and see what they have to offer.

Kids Activities

If you’re bringing kids along, make sure you stop by the Kids Zone. This is a huge play area for children. There will be an inflatable privateer pirate ship as well as a bounce house to keep the kiddos entertained.
